Post Judgment Disputes

Post judgment disputes are disagreements that occur between previous spouses regarding matters that were included in the original divorce decree or matters that were not included and arise after the judgment of divorce has been entered by the court but can be resolved by the court. As well, matters that are not truly "in dispute" but can affect a person's rights to property, child custody, or visitation are also post judgment matters that the court should order. Often times, people will agree to a change, but unless the court approves of the change, enforcement after the fact may be difficult.
