Kathleen Reiley, S.C. Family Law & Divorce Mediation Services

Family Law & Divorce Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution processes people use to resolve issues and formulate legal agreements while also saving money, maintaining dignity and avoiding all the spiraling legal fees of traditional litigation and trials.

With Kathy Reiley as your mediator, you have the best of both worlds: you have the knowledge of a very experienced (30+ years) lawyer, and the guidance of a highly trained (20+ years) mediator, who understands that life is a journey, who has seen many of life’s curve balls, and who knows how to coach spouses to move forward to reach a mutual foundation of agreement from which you each can write the rest of your story.

Attorney Kathleen Reiley assists her clients in mediating their disputes. She also acts as a neutral mediator for non-client parties in the financial aspects of divorce and family law.

In addition to her many years of mediation experience, Attorney Reiley completed the 25-hour Divorce Mediation Training on November 1, 2006 through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies, Professional Development and Applied Studies.

What are the benefits to Mediation?

Mediation offers a couple the chance to define what is most workable for their particular situation and to tailor an agreement that reflects their own circumstances. It can enable future joint decision-making. Visitation, property division, alimony, and unique circumstances such as relations with grandparents or step families can be included. Child Custody and visitation issues are evaluated in terms of the child’s best interests and the parents’ shared concerns. The privacy of mediation can make it easier for people to discuss emotional matters. See Why Mediation?

Mediation is a completely voluntary, confidential process that serves as an alternative dispute resolution method to avoid contested litigation. Together with the guidance of a third party (the mediator), identify and isolate the issues, consider options and alternatives, and reach mutual agreements.
